Senior Online Safety - Facebook Password ScamIn your inbox this morning you may have received an email which advised you that your Facebook password was reset. The text of the email shows what appears to be a server log entry and then asks you to click on a form — Please don’t do that. This is a phishing expedition by a criminal element.

This is not the first attempt to dupe Facebook users about their passwords, nor will it be the last.

If you wish to change your password on Facebook or any other service, don’t click from an unsolicited email such as this, instead – go to the website directly and change the password using their protocols.

Criminals will continue to hit us with phish emails in hopes of getting us to “click” on their links – adopting a no click policy is your best defense.
